Colwyn Bay (United Kingdom): Glamorgan teenager Aneurin Donald set a record for the fastest double century in first class cricket with a wonderful innings against Derbyshire on Sunday.

Donald knock included 15 sixes with his 200 from just 123 balls, equaling the mark set by former Indian international Ravi Shastri in his homeland in 1985.

19-year-old came to the crease in Colwyn Bay with his side 96-3 in the county championship match and immediately went on the attack to achieve its maiden championship ton by six.

“I had no idea of the records that went, but it was especially pleased to equal the previous record of Ravi Shastri, because he is a former player of Glamorgan.”
